Noon Seller Fees Egypt: Every Charge in EGP, and Where to Find Yours

#noon #noonseller #noonegypt #noonfees #egypt #egp #egyptvat #noonfulfilment #ecommerce #menasellers

Almost everything written about noon seller fees Egypt sellers can find online is a UAE article with the currency swapped. Egypt is its own Noon contract, billed in EGP, with a 14% VAT rate, its own payout day and its own e-invoicing regime, and the same rule as everywhere else: the only fee rates that matter are the ones in your own transaction view. This guide covers the fee families, the VAT, the EGP payout rules as Noon publishes them, and how to read your actual rates in ten minutes.

The fee types on an Egypt contract

Noon runs one contract per country, so an Egypt seller has a Noon EG contract with its own statements, transaction view and invoices, separate from any UAE or KSA activity. Per order, the transaction view carries the columns Noon defines for every seller:

  • Referral Fee. Commission, a percentage of the sale by category and account.
  • Fulfillment and Logistic Fee. Warehousing, picking, packing and shipping on FBN orders; the courier leg on orders you fulfil yourself.
  • Shipping Credits. Customer-paid shipping returned to you.
  • Other Order Fee. Return handling, penalties and other order-specific charges.
  • Order Subsidies. Noon covering part of a cost on specific orders, typically during promotions.

Off the order, as Statement Fee rows with no order number or as separate service fee invoices: advertising, FBN storage, and anything else not tied to a sale.

The guide to Noon seller fees explains each family in plain English and how to read your Noon settlement report, fee by fee shows each one in the export, including what a refund row and an advertising row look like.

VAT at 14%

Egypt's standard VAT rate is 14%, and as in the Gulf markets it runs in both directions on a Noon account. Noon's help centre says its rate-card fees are exclusive of VAT and that the VAT on marketplace fees is reflected in your invoice; the weekly statement fee invoice is therefore the input VAT document. On the sales side, the price the customer sees is VAT-inclusive, so a share of every sale is output VAT collected on behalf of the tax authority, not revenue, and margin has to be computed on the price net of it.

Egypt has a further wrinkle Noon flags in its invoices article: the e-invoicing status column on the Invoices and Credit Notes page applies to KSA and Egypt sellers, showing whether a document has been reported through the e-invoicing service. Check it monthly. The Egypt VAT guide covers registration and scope, and the Noon seller VAT report post shows how to build the monthly output figure from the export.

Payout timing for Egypt

From Noon's Payments processing policy as read on 8 September 2026: statements are generated every Wednesday and include orders delivered in the period; for Egypt, the payout for a Wednesday statement is processed on the Tuesday of the following week, two days earlier in the week than the UAE and KSA cycle, and lands one to two business days after that. The minimum to be paid for an EGP bank account on the Egypt marketplace is 100 EGP; a balance under it is held and rolled forward until the cumulative total clears. The full calendar and the 15-day dispute window are in when does Noon pay sellers.

Two Egypt-specific consequences. The Tuesday cycle means a delivery that misses a Wednesday statement waits until the Tuesday after the following one, so plan restocks on a two-and-a-half-week cash cycle at best. And the invoice generation condition Noon publishes for statement fee invoices is written in AED terms; check your own Invoices page to see how it is applied to an EG contract rather than assuming.

What is different about Egypt in practice

Beyond the rate and the payout day, three things shape an Egypt seller's numbers that Gulf-focused guides miss.

Currency movement. EGP has moved a long way against the dollar in recent years, and a seller importing stock priced in dollars sees landed cost change between purchase orders even when the supplier price does not. That belongs in a dated cost history per SKU, not in a single number, or margins from two quarters ago get rewritten every time stock arrives. The cost is what left your account in EGP, at the rate your bank gave you.

Price points and fee proportion. Egyptian price points are lower in absolute terms, so fixed per-unit charges, fulfilment above all, are a larger share of the sale than the same charge in the UAE. A fulfilment fee that is a rounding error on a 300 AED item can be the whole margin on its EGP equivalent. Read fulfilment per unit per SKU from your own export and compare it with net proceeds per unit before deciding a SKU is viable.

Returns handling and cash-on-delivery. Cash-on-delivery remains common in Egypt, and refused or returned parcels produce return-handling entries in Other Order Fee against orders that never became revenue. Track the rate per SKU; a product with a high refusal rate carries a cost per attempted sale that no rate table shows.

One consequence for pricing. Because fulfilment and return handling are fixed per unit while commission is a percentage, a low-priced Egypt SKU is squeezed from both ends: the fixed charges eat the margin and there is little room to raise the price. The kept guide to the minimum profitable price formula gives the floor; run it with your own EGP fee figures, not a table, and be willing to drop the SKUs that fall under it rather than advertise them.

Your own rates, from your own export

Whatever table of Egyptian Noon fees you find, treat it as a snapshot of someone else's account. Yours:

  1. Seller Lab, Payment and Fees, Transaction View. Contract: Noon EG. Range: one full month with real sales. Download.
  2. Keep rows with an order number; group by SKU or category.
  3. Effective commission = Referral Fee total divided by Net Proceeds total, per category.
  4. Fulfilment per unit = Fulfillment and Logistic Fee plus Shipping Credits, divided by units, per SKU.
  5. Account-level cost = the "NA" rows for the month: advertising net of subsidy, storage.
  6. Re-read every quarter.

A worked example, entirely made up

One SKU on an Egypt contract, one month, every number invented. Customer price 570 EGP.

Line EGP
Customer price (VAT-inclusive) 570.00
Output VAT inside the price, 570 x 14 / 114 70.00
Net proceeds excluding VAT 500.00
Referral fee, read from the export -75.00
Fulfilment and logistics, read from the export -40.00
Shipping credit, read from the export +8.00
Unit cost -240.00
Inbound freight and packaging per unit -18.00
Net profit per unit before advertising 135.00
Margin on net proceeds 27.0%

Computed on the gross 570 with VAT ignored, the same SKU appears to run near 36 percent, which is the figure that leads to an ad budget the SKU cannot carry. The fee lines are placeholders for the numbers you read in steps 3 and 4.

Egypt fee checklist

  1. Transaction view exported for the EG contract only, one full month.
  2. Effective commission per category from the export.
  3. Fulfilment per unit per SKU, shipping credits netted.
  4. Account-level rows summed: advertising net of subsidy, storage.
  5. Statement fee invoices downloaded; input VAT at 14%.
  6. E-invoicing status column clean on the Invoices page.
  7. Margin computed on the VAT-exclusive price.
  8. Payouts checked against the Tuesday cycle and the 100 EGP threshold.

SKUmargin runs an Egypt store in EGP alongside UAE and KSA stores in their own currencies, reads the same export automatically, and the VAT tab applies 14% for the EG store; the free Noon profit calculator takes the rates you read above and returns a per-SKU margin in a minute.
