How the Noon profit calculation works
Your sale price is not your profit. In the UAE, Noon prices are usually VAT-inclusive, so the first step is to strip VAT out: net sale ex VAT is your VAT-inclusive price divided by one plus the VAT rate. From that ex-VAT revenue, subtract your landed cost and every Noon fee (commission is a percentage of the ex-VAT sale; fulfilment, storage, shipping, and payment fees are per unit), then your ads and promos. What is left is profit before returns.
Returns cost money even when the sale is refunded: handling fees, unsellable stock, and warranty or replacement allowances. The advanced calculator amortises those across your sold units to show profit after returns. Margin is profit over ex-VAT revenue; ROI is profit over your landed cost; breakeven is the VAT-inclusive price at which profit hits zero.

- Should I enter VAT-inclusive prices?
- In the UAE, Noon prices are usually shown VAT-inclusive. Advanced mode takes your VAT-inclusive sale price and works out the ex-VAT revenue for you, because VAT is collected and remitted, not profit. UAE VAT is 5%, KSA 15%, Egypt 14%. Confirm the rate that applies to you.
- What commission rate should I use?
- Use your own. Noon commission varies by product category and changes over time, so there is no single correct number to type. Your exact rate is itemised in your Noon settlement report. We deliberately do not fill in a rate for you, because a guessed rate gives you a guessed profit.
